Terms of use
Last updated 10 August 2026
1. What this is
Heirloom is a game I make on my own. This page sets out the terms for using the game and this website. I am Deniz, and you can reach me at deniz1lapsekili@gmail.com.
By playing the beta or by using this website, you accept these terms. If you do not, do not install it.
2. The game is in beta
Heirloom is unfinished and being built in public. That means:
- Features change, appear and sometimes disappear.
- It can contain bugs and it can behave in ways I did not intend.
- A save can be lost or broken by an update, and I cannot restore it, because I never had a copy.
- The beta itself can be paused or ended at any time, and any build stops working 90 days after it is issued.
Play it in that spirit. Do not treat a save as something permanent.
3. It is free
Heirloom costs nothing. There is nothing to buy inside it, there are no advertisements, and there is no subscription. I do not take payment from you for anything, at any point.
4. Your licence to use it
The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. That agreement governs your use of the app, and these terms sit alongside it rather than replacing it.
In plain words: you may install it and play it. You may not sell it, redistribute the build, resell access to the beta, take it apart to ship your own version of it, or pass your TestFlight invitation off as a product of your own.
You are welcome to record it, stream it, screenshot it and write about it.
5. Who owns what
The game, its code, its writing, its design and its art are mine, apart from the Kenney modular characters pack, which is public domain under CC0.
Your save is yours, and it is on your phone.
6. Feedback
If you send me feedback, a bug report, an idea or a screenshot, I may use it to improve the game, without owing you payment or credit. You keep the right to your own words. I will not publish your feedback with your name attached without asking you.
7. No warranty, and limits
Heirloom is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it works, that it keeps working, or that it is fit for anything in particular. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for lost saves, lost time, or any loss that follows from using the game or this website. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by agreement.
8. Ending it
You can stop at any time by leaving the beta in TestFlight and deleting the app. I can end the beta, or stop somebody using it, if they are abusing it or breaking these terms.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the United States, and its courts have jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
10. Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new version.
