Support
Heirloom is made by one person and I read everything. If something broke, read wrong, or felt unfair, tell me.
Report a bug from inside the game
TestFlight has a feedback route built into it, and it is the most useful one to me, because it attaches your device, your iOS version and the exact build automatically.
- Take a screenshot while the game is open. Press the side button and the volume up button together.
- Tap the small preview in the bottom left corner before it disappears.
- Tap Share at the top right, then Share Beta Feedback.
- Write what happened and send it.
You can also open the TestFlight app, tap Heirloom, and tap Send Beta Feedback without a screenshot.
What to put in a report
The more of this you include, the faster it gets fixed.
- What you were doing, in order.
- What you expected to happen.
- What actually happened.
- How old you were in the life, and what year of school.
- The version and build number, which are at the bottom of the TestFlight page.
- Your iPhone model and iOS version.
A screenshot of the moment it went wrong is worth more than a paragraph describing it.
Something reads wrong
Send that too. Wording is a real part of this game and a card that is confusing under a thumb is a bug. If you had to read something twice to know what you were choosing, I want to see it.
Other ways to reach me
- Discord, which is the fastest. I am 3arii.
- Email, deniz1lapsekili@gmail.com.
I am one person building this on my own, so expect a day or two, sometimes longer at a weekend.
Questions people actually ask
Is it free?
Yes, completely. There is nothing to buy, there are no advertisements, there is no subscription and there is no currency. Nothing in the game is locked behind anything except playing it.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. iPhone only for now. If enough people want Android, I will move it there.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. The game makes no network requests at all and runs entirely offline. TestFlight itself needs a connection to install the app and to fetch updates, but once it is on your phone you can play it on a plane.
Will my save survive an update?
Normally yes. The save is read tolerantly and every build runs migrations on load, so an older save still opens. Deleting the app deletes the save. It is a beta, so a change occasionally breaks an old save, and if a life stops behaving then Start Over is the fix.
What happens when I reach the end of the content?
The game tells you itself. Heirloom is built from birth to the end of high school, at nineteen. After that the life keeps running, but work, money of your own, moving out and a family of your own are still being built. That card is the edge of the build, not a bug.
Does it work on iPad?
It is designed for iPhone, portrait only. It will install on an iPad and run in iPhone compatibility mode, but it is not laid out for that screen and I am not fixing iPad issues yet.
What iOS do I need?
iOS 17 or newer.
How do I make sure I get new builds?
Open TestFlight, tap Heirloom, and turn on automatic updates. I ship often.
How do I leave the beta?
Open TestFlight, tap Heirloom, scroll to the bottom and tap Stop Testing. To remove the game and its save as well, delete the app from your home screen.
Can I stream it or post video of it?
Yes, please do, and tell me where so I can watch it. Seeing somebody play it badly is the most useful thing that happens to this game.
Do you collect any data?
No. The app collects nothing and connects to nothing, and this website has no form, no cookies and no analytics. The full detail is on the privacy page.
